PROMISE ME

If I tell myself to believe
Promise you won't make me a liar
If I shut myself up
Promise you won't make me regret it
If I turn darkness into light
Promise you won't change it back again
If I turn fear into confidence
Promise you won't hurt me

If I tell myself not to worry
And just to believe and be happy
Promise me you won't prove me wrong
Promise me you won't make me sad

If I believe you're not decieving me
Nor lying through your teeth
Promise me I won't be led astray
Promise me you won't twist your words

Because I love you
And I believe
And I've already shut myself up
And turned my darkness into light

Because I love you
And I'm not going to worry anymore
I know you're not decieving me
I'm just going to believe and be happy

Promise me
I won't be wrong to believe
