These Things
(Mar 31st, 2004)
What do you think, oh friend of mine
What do you believe, what do you want
What throughts run through your mind
Under your beautiful golden hair
What would you have me answer
To this burning question of mine
To speak or not to speak
To assume or to risk the truth
What would you say if I told you
Just how much I care
What would you do if I held you
What if I actually dared
What would you say, oh friend of mine
If I told you all of these things
Now if only I had the courage
To say it to your face

Footsteps
(Mar 31st, 2004)
In my mind lies a burning question
Which yearns to be released
But past events have led me astray
And may cause me to remain silenced
So now the question remains
To speak or not to speak
Of liking, perhaps loving
At this young and tender age
Is it nobler to remain silent
Watch as the years pass by
Or to take up the field
And present these thoughts to you
Is it wiser to simply assume
That this cannot be
Or should I ask and find
The truth, as it may be
Tell me, someone wiser than I
Tell me which path to take
To speak or not to speak
Where should my footsteps lead
